What your two dentists hold, and what they belong to
Dr. Tang has held it since 1994. He was the first dentist in Wisconsin to join the AACD, and he is still the only accredited one in Greater Milwaukee.

Two of them are things most dental offices cannot offer at all. The third is the reason a lot of people have not seen a dentist in years.
The problem: “cosmetic dentist” is a claim anyone can make, and no register exists to check it against.
AACD accreditation takes a written examination in smile design, materials and occlusion, a set of submitted case studies judged on diagnosis and artistry, an oral examination on those cases, and two AACD workshops. Dr. Tang passed all of it in 1994 and is one of roughly 400 accredited dentists worldwide.
The problem: a crown normally means an impression, two weeks in a temporary, and a second appointment.
The CEREC® mill is in the building. We scan the tooth, design the restoration on screen with you, and cut it from a porcelain block while you wait. Crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays, finished and bonded the same day, with no temporary and no second trip. They carry a five‑year guarantee.

Dr. Tang completed a fellowship in sedation dentistry and the practice offers oral conscious sedation, from laughing gas for a cleaning through to full sedation for a long reconstruction. Tell us when you book and the appointment is planned around it.

Before you come in
Everything you would normally have to call and ask for. If it is not here, the front desk will tell you on the phone in under a minute.
Plan on about an hour. You will be met by the front desk and taken through registration; if you printed the new patient forms and filled them in first, that part takes a moment.
The exam covers your medical and dental history, an oral cancer screening, a tooth‑by‑tooth check for decay, the condition of existing dental work, gum tissue, your TMJ joints and how your bite fits together, plus digital X‑rays and intraoral photographs where they are needed.
There are two new patient forms, one adult and one child. Print the right one, fill it in and bring it with your insurance card and a list of any medications you take.
If you cannot print, arrive ten to fifteen minutes early and do it here. Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours ahead may incur a charge, so call as soon as you know.
The office accepts a variety of PPOs and other health plans. Call before your visit and we will verify your carrier rather than leave you guessing at the desk.

Treatment planning, consultations and second‑opinion visits cost nothing here. If you have been given a plan elsewhere and it does not sit right, bring it in.
Dental treatment plans get overwhelming quickly. The point of a free consultation is that you can ask what the alternatives are without it costing you to ask.
On in‑house CEREC crowns. If one breaks or fractures and you have kept up your regular recare visits with us since the work was done, it is replaced at no cost to you. It does not cover problems arising from periodontal disease, cracked tooth syndrome or new decay.

Dr. Tang completed a fellowship in sedation dentistry, so the options run from laughing gas for a cleaning, through localised medication, to full sedation for a long reconstruction. Which one is right is decided with you at a consultation, not on the day.
Cosmetic dentistry is not a recognised ADA specialty, so any general dentist can advertise it. Accreditation with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry is the closest thing to an examination that exists: a written paper, submitted case studies, an oral examination and two workshops. Fewer than five percent of AACD members hold it. Dr. Tang has since 1994.
